What it is
House of the Black Dragon isn’t a press or a company publishing multiple authors.
It’s my personal imprint and creative home I built for the books I write.
A place where all my stories can belong under one name.
The Name
The “Black Dragon” comes from two beloved dogs from my childhood. Bucky, a black German Shepherd that I affectionately called "Black Dragon" when I was pretending to be Xena Warrior Princess (it's ok, you can laugh), and a fat, goofy little black lab named Sally, whose loyalty and fierce little heart shaped my life more than most people.

The current "Black Dragon" is my 11-year-old goober of a black lab named Remi, who my daughter now calls "The Dragon." He is the inspiration for my logo, graying fur and all.
​
This imprint is my way of honoring that bond. It is a symbol of protection, devotion, and fierce love.
